Subject: setting up winsock to let two computers use one modem connection
For the summer, I and my roomate have two computers, one 14.4 modem, and one
phone line....
I was wondering how to go about setting the slip connection up so that
the computer without the modem is connected via serial cable, and its
signals are bounced through....
Basically i want to be able to have both computers slipped at the same time..
please mail answers directly to me....
Thanks in advance ;)

The Harvard TCP/IP is designed to work with the "old" MS TSR-based TCP/IP,
but I don't think it'll work with the new VxD TCP/IP for WFWG. Bit I don't
know for sure, because I haven't had the opportunity to work with the newer
TCP/IP. If anyone can clarify whether it does or doesn't provide whatever
the Harvard NFS is looking for, I'd appreciate it. (Dan?)

Subject: Hgopher - sharing violation on drive C
I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. After installing MS-Excel 5.0
which requires share to be loaded Hgopher cannot identify and hosts and
returns the error "Sharing violation on drice c:". Is there and way around
this ? Is this news group archived anywhere ?
TIA
Bruce.

Most SHARE.EXE problems can be solved by replacing it with VSHARE.386. The
latter is a Windows device driver which is available from ftp.microsoft.com,
directory softlib/mslfiles, file WW1000.EXE.
